As an Adult Recreation Coordinator, you’ll take the lead on planning and organizing events, activities, and outings that bring people together and enrich lives. This role blends creativity, coordination, and direct support so no two days look the same.

Full-time, non-exempt
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm with occasional evenings and weekends as needed
Pay Rate: $21.25/hr

What You’ll Do:

  • Plan and coordinate a monthly calendar of recreation activities and events
  • Serve as a main point of contact for participants, families, staff, and volunteers
  • Communicate staffing and volunteer needs for upcoming events
  • Manage event details including scheduling, transportation, and vendor coordination
  • Track budgets and ensure events stay within approved spending
  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners and recreation providers
  • Support and engage participants during activities, ensuring a safe and positive experience
  • Assist with personal care, mobility needs, and medication administration as needed
  • Help evaluate programs and gather participant feedback to keep improving experiences
  • Step in as on-call support when the Recreation Manager is unavailable

What You’ll Bring:

  • High school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities (preferred)
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks at once
  • Comfort using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to jump in where needed
  • Valid driver’s license

  • Active, hands-on work environment which includes driving a van, assisting participants, and supporting mobility needs
  • Lifting, pushing wheelchairs, and being on your feet throughout the day
  • A role that combines planning behind the scenes with direct interaction during events

Requirements:

  • Background check and Family Care Safety Registry clearance
  • Motor Vehicle Report and proof of insurance
